International infrastructure business looking for a Legal Counsel on the basis of a 6 month contract with the likelihood of being extended. The offices are in Central London and it will be on a hybrid-working model (3 days per week in the office). This dominant focus of this role will be M&A/corporate matters. You will ideally be available to start in April, although mid-May could still be considered as a longstop date.
The company is enjoying a consistent period of success with a strong pipeline of projects. The day-to-day remit offers a broad range of high-calibre legal work including:
* Advising on M&A and other general corporate activity across the business, including re-organisations; financing; internal governance
* Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial and outsourcing contracts;
* Providing strategic advice to stakeholders throughout the organisation on a range of legal issues such as IT, IP and GDPR
The ideal candidate will sit between the 3–7 PQE mark, although applications from all levels will be considered on merit. You must come from a strong corporate and M&A background, with extensive hands-on experience at all stages of the transaction life cycle. Previous experience in the infrastructure, manufacturing, transport or construction sectors (whether in-house, or working with clients whilst at a law firm) would be helpful but not essential. As well as lawyers from the UK, applications are also welcomed from candidates admitted in other common law jurisdictions such as Australia and New Zealand.
