Wolters Kluwer Business Analytics Manager - Product Information Management and Data Architecture in Dover, Delaware
LOCATION: Remote U.S.
OVERVIEW
You will lead both the strategic architecture and technical operations of Wolter Kluwer Health’s Product Information Management System (a Microsoft SQL database platform) to deliver tactical solutions that meet the evolving needs of our objectives for growth.
You will play a crucial part in executing the company's product and go-to-market strategy, ensuring accurate and consistent product information across all systems and channels worldwide. This position requires excellent understanding of data administration and management functions.
Important components of your role will entail:
1. Strategic Leadership: Be the voice, advocate, and visionary for product information within the organization. Develop comprehensive product data roadmap and enrichment plans that align with our business goals and sales, channel, and market demands. Identify opportunities for improvement, set priorities, and set communication strategy for stakeholders & users.
2. Project Management: Lead projects for product data enrichment and daily operations, including platform support, ticket creation and triage, business, and customer support. Define system enhancements based on feedback and growth initiatives, while ensuring accurate product data for system integrations. Manage testing, create training documentation, and develop processes for consistent product information. Serve as the primary contact and subject matter expert for all PIM-related functions and reporting.
3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with publishing, product, finance, marketing, sales, technology, operations, customer service, and other internal teams to ensure seamless data entry and delivery. Drive alignment on product information needs and requirements for improved execution across the organization.
4. Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures. Champion a culture of agile methodologies to rapidly respond to market changes and customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Product Information Management: Maintain and optimize the Firebrand platform to align with changing growth opportunities from stakeholders. Implement and uphold PIM data standards, policies, and procedures.
2. System Architecture and Integration: Provide architectural oversight and support for the Firebrand platform. Design and implement integrations with ERP, Royalty, CRM, and eCommerce systems. Manage and optimize data output via OINX and other systems like Salesforce. Develop and monitor APIs for seamless data exchange and integration.
3. User Training and Support: Identify & implement opportunities for process improvement for critical data elements to improve input & output procedures. Build & create SOP documentation to ease user compliance. Work closely with adjacent System leads to develop test plans and identify & resolve breakdowns.
4. Data Quality and Governance: Develop meaningful & actionable tools to identify data deficiencies for User support. Develop and enforce data governance policies.
5. Collaboration and Communication: Gather requirements from non-technical business owners and translate them into technical requirements. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding data management processes and system architecture.
6. Strategic Planning and Innovation: Lead the strategic planning and continuous improvement of the PIM system. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies.
7. Project Management: Design and manage development sprints for the PIM platform. Oversee project timelines and deliverables using project management tools. Manage operational budget.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Field, Business, Project Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
Experience: 5+ years of experience managing a complex database. Microsoft MS SQL. Experience in writing and executing complex SQL Statements. Experience with system integration ETL, VisualCron, and offshore scheduling. Experience in a complex environment with complex system dependencies. Experience in a business analyst role will be helpful. Experience in managing large relational database management systems (RDBMS). Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Tools and process enabling remote connection to internal systems. Database management tools.
Preferred Skills: Communication of technical information for non-technical recipients. Project management certifications and membership in professional project management organizations.
TRAVEL: 5% for team meetings or annual vendor conferences.
