About the Role As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with one child, offering tailored academic and emotional support. Your role will involve adapting activities, assisting with classroom tasks, and creating a positive and inclusive space for learning. Key Responsibilities Provide individualised support to a child, helping them engage with learning. Work alongside the class teacher to deliver adapted lesson plans and resources. Encourage focus and participation, using strategies suited to the child's needs. Monitor progress and contribute to their academic and social development. Help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and independence. What We’re Looking For Experience working with children, ideally within a school setting. A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. The ability to adapt to the individual needs of the child. Desirable Skills & Experience Experience working with children with additional learning needs. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
