Role Purpose - An experienced Environmental Health Food Consultant to help deliver food hygiene and standards inspection programme, investigating complaints regarding food and health & safety matters - To come and help clear a backlog Responsibilities - Inspections across the county - To complete 200 category D business inspections - Understanding client's needs and requirements in food safety, health and safety and beyond - Developing, managing, and delivering consulting and technical solutions projects, liaising with clients to provide updates and project expectations on an on-going basis - Dealing with enforcement issues, such as enforcement notices, hygiene re-rating cases, and enforcement officer correspondence - Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals. Estimating the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals - general food and health and safety complaint investigation; including food poisoning notifications, food contamination cases, infectious disease questionnaires. Qualifications And Skills - A degree (BSc/MSc) or diploma in Environmental Health. - Certificate of Registration from the Environmental Health Registration Board. - Able to demonstrate compliance with the Competency Framework detailed in the Food Standards Agency Food Law Code of Practice by annually producing documented evidence of training, skills, and experience. Contract - Initial 3 to 6 month contract - Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm - Hybrid (only required to be onsite if needed) - Outside IR35 - £55-£75 per inspection, dependant on experience
