Job Title: Team Lead Senior Project Accountant Location: Surrey – Guildford. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role Salary: Circa £60,000 commensurate with skills and experience What you’ll be doing: Support, develop and coach a team, ensuring collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and consistently ensure skills and experience are matched with business demands Production of timely insights, analysis and business intelligence to drive performance. Ensure synchronisation between evolving business performance and forecasting, proactively identifying and managing risks and opportunities Ensure timely working capital cycle for projects and supporting decision makers in delivering strong project financial performance and production of quarterly forecasts and Annual Budgets in conjunction with the Finance Business Partners Support Delivery team in forecasting financial estimates of costs to deliver projects and manage risks and opportunities, highlighting key information to the relevant FBPs Deliver accurate month end management reporting, on time, including Project reporting outputs (Summary Status Report and Contract Status Reports); Monthly management reporting with expert analysis and insights analysing in-year financial performance; Balance sheet review parks; Working Capital Reporting; Orderbook Reporting Work alongside the relevant FBPs, provide a key bid support capability, to plan, coordinate and model financial inputs, ensuring quality inputs are provided to the FBPs bid team Operate robust and effective financial controls in line with Financial Control Framework and Finance Policies manual, collaborating with the Project Finance Process Owners, Finance Control CC and Governance CC. Support external and internal audit as required Contribute towards identifying and delivering improvements to processes within Project Finance Your skills and experiences: Essential: QualifiedPart Qualified member professional accounting body (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Experience of Project Finance and strong understanding of financial forecasting and reporting processes Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (IFRS GAAP), incl. CORDA is a growing consultancy business, specialising in delivering consultancy and analytical solutions to internal BAE Systems and external customers. We work across a range of sectors including defence, transport, security and policing. As a Project Accountant within the Project Finance team, you will have responsibility for ensuring the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful project and management financial information to business and finance stakeholders. You will partner effectively with Business Unit Delivery leads and BU Finance Business Partners to ensure that accounting and reporting of project performance is efficient and effective.
