Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
* Assess and monitor the health and well-being of residents, ensuring their needs are met.
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following care plans and protocols.
* Provide wound care, manage chronic conditions, and respond to medical emergencies.
2. Health Monitoring:
* Regularly take and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
* Observe and report any changes in residents health or behavior to senior nursing staff or healthcare professionals.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, care plans, and medication charts.
* Document care provided and any incidents or changes in the resident's condition.
4. Communication:
* Liaise with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
* Communicate effectively with the care team, providing handovers at the beginning and end of shifts.
5. Support and Supervision:
* Provide guidance and support to care assistants and junior staff, ensuring they follow care protocols.
* Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of care strategies and plans.
