Description Quality Control Auditor We have an exciting opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Quality Auditor at our partly automated warehouse for Wincanton, on behalf of B&Q. The Role · To undertake the day to day functions within the QC department ensuring all targets are met and the highest standards of quality, accuracy & hygiene are maintained to ensure all management and customer expectations are achieved. · Undertake all training offered to become multi-skilled and have the ability to cover all job tasks within the department · Undertake product quality audits as directed by SQA and/or as identified using product specifications and trend data and accurately record results. · Record retrievable vendor product quality performance data both internally and externally · Prepare, produce and collate accurate product quality reports · Carry out timely investigations of product quality incidents as required and escalate to relevant parties · Identify potential product issues and provide support for product development opportunities and initiatives · Ensure a high level of communication between all stakeholders at all levels and ensure information flow is of the highest standard · Support departmental manager in all tasks as required · To be responsible for the H&S of self and colleagues by adhering to safe working practices at all times · PPE to be worn where appropriate at all times · Ensure a high level of housekeeping and hygiene is maintained in all areas at all times · Maintain customer service levels within own areas of responsibility · Any other reasonable request within scope of the position The Person · Applicants must be flexible in their approach to QC work and working hours to meet business needs · Applicants must be able to demonstrate relevant experience to work in a busy ever changing Quality Control operation · Have good technological expertise across a broad spectrum of DIY products is advantageous. · Applicants must be proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel and power point packages · Good written and verbal communication skills · Applicants must have the ability to problem solve and use their own initiative and the ability to maintain high standards whilst working under pressure and to deadlines · Attention to detail and data interpretation for batch inspections desired · Applicants must be able to provide exceptional organisational and administrative skills · Must be an effective communicator and be able to develop good working relationships at all levels · Be resilient and persuasive with peers and managers · Have a good understanding of B&Q procedures · Confidentiality and discretion are essential · Desired - MHE license If you believe you have the skills, competencies and experience to meet this criteria, please follow the application process in the Oracle system.
