Teaching Assistant with SEN experience
Start: November 2024 – immediate start possible
Contract: Temporary, with scope to become permanent
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 8:30-15:00, term-time only
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant with prior SEN experience to work in a local Bournemouth school to help support pupils with additional needs. If you are passionate about building positive relationships with pupils, supporting the class teacher, and offering support for a variety of pupil needs, this could be the role for you.
As a teaching assistant, you will be supporting groups of children with both their learning and their behaviour, therefore any previous experience working with children or in a classroom setting would be beneficial, but not essential.
The ideal teaching assistant candidate:
- Must be able to effectively support the class teacher
- Confidently work with groups of children or on a 1:1 basis
- Will be proactive in meeting the pupils’ needs
- Must be reliable and enthusiastic
- Have either teaching assistant experience or other relevant prior experiences
