Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
We are looking for an engineer or scientist with proven experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics. The project involves the modelling of flow through porous structures and lattices manufactured using Additive Manufacturing. The data will inform design decisions for the structure. Flow velocity, pressure drop, tortuosity and permeability are main features to simulate and measure. We are looking for an engineer or scientist who has experience in the use of COMSOL or other CFD softwares, and CAD packages to manipulate STL reconstructions.
Key Requirements:
The candidate needs to have extensive experience in:
1. deriving experimental designs and protocols in a simulation environment
2. performing fluid dynamics simulation through porous structures
3. working with COMSOL Multiphysics (or a similar simulator/software)
4. handling 3D volumetric reconstructions and software for analysis of those
5. Gathering results and presenting data to others as part of regular meetings and reviews.
6. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
