This is a hybrid working role, so you’ll need to be able to work from our Head Office at least once a month
Hours per week: 37
Salary: Up to £64,000 depending on experience
About the role
We’re excited to be looking for a Business Architect to join our Architecture team. The enterprise architecture team is responsible for the design and documentation of key systems and processes within NCFE. The team consists of experts in various disciplines, with this role needing to provide insight and expertise on business processes.
You’ll work closely with key decision makers and stakeholders in the operation of NCFE to map out business processes and identify key improvement activities and opportunities for transformation.
How you’ll make an impact:
1. Act as an intermediary between technical architecture teams and key stakeholders.
2. Shape business processes with understanding of risks, priority, impact and achievability.
3. Define & monitor KPIs, evaluating the effectiveness of transformation and change.
4. Document business processes, support, and define business analysis framework with the Project Management Office.
5. Guide and mentor business analysts to design a business requirements framework.
6. Provide architectural guidance on regulatory changes, ensuring minimal disruption to Operations.
We’d love to hear from you if you offer the following:
1. Ability to work autonomously, proactively identifying areas where you think you can make the most impact.
2. Proven experience as a Business Architect or similar role, ideally within an awarding organisation, education, or related sector.
3. Strong knowledge of business architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent.
4. Previous experience in business analysis, process mapping, working alongside technical teams.
5. Ability to challenge the status quo, whilst providing alternative approaches and solutions that can be communicated to stakeholders.
6. Knowledge and experience working in the educational sector alongside a regulatory framework.
7. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
