Let us tell a bit about the opportunity We have a new opportunity for a seasoned team leader / operations leader to take the lead in planning, directing and coordinating the operations within the customer experience division, where you will be responsible for developing and inspiring the team of 10-12 mortgage underwriters. Through day to day performance management and coaching, proactive decision making and assessment of queries on the team, you will improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of department through the provision of effective methods and strategies. Acting as a business area lead in transformation and change, working to deliver an exceptional service and market proposition. The team are split across our Manchester and Wilmslow offices, so you can be based from either of these locations, working onsite 3 days per week. What will your day look like? Working as part of a wider management team to plan and deliver short- and long-term plans to support the strategic plans and growth of the business lines and bank as a whole. Manage, coach and develop a high performing team through clear expectation setting, ensuring adoption of positive and professional principles Develop a strong understanding of the end to end mortgage process across all of the banks property lending propositions Drive improvement of the operational systems; processes and policies in support of the organisational goals - specifically, delivery to set targets and forecasts, flow of information and organisational planning. Utilise business MI, forecasts, budgets and market information to plan and co-ordinate team and department strategy to ensure successful achievement of daily and monthly goals and business vision and increase performance. Creating a culture supportive of transformation and change, managing both direct reports and key stakeholders as required. What do we expect from you? Experience and success with previous management roles, working within the financial services sector. Continuously demonstrating a collaborative approach to delivery, managing key stakeholders and inter team dependencies. Involvement with business change, supporting as a business lead or SME, to deliver key projects Ability to challenge and debate issues facing the department and wider business to ensure appropriate action and resolution Comfortable working in a changing and fast paced environment, balancing change and improvements with necessary regulatory controls and risk mitigants Knowledge and experience of managing both processes and people within a regulatory risk and lending environment What can you expect from us?
