Duties will include but not limited to:
· A methodical approach to cleaning that is organised, efficient and thorough.
· The ability to work well independently, and as part of a team.
· Good interpersonal and excellent communication skills along with a positive and approachable manner.
· Physical abilities, including being able to work on your feet for long periods of time, as the job may involve lifting, reaching and bending.
· The ability to deliver quality work and to work unsupervised
· A knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations relating to the role
· To attend and fully participate in training courses
· Fulfil all reasonable management requests and liaise and support with colleagues to create flexible working relationships working towards the same objectives
· It is desirable to have a British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICs) Licence to Practice, or BICs skills training

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday 1am - 8am.
Will be required to work some Bank Holidays

Requirements
Good IT skills, including knowledge of MS Office Excellent time management and organisational skills Ability to work with and communicate effectively with a range of school stakeholders and service providers by advising, guiding, negotiating, persuading in all matters relating to premises management, encouraging others to adopt a desired course of action, resolving problems or circumstances that may be outside current remit. Demonstrate effective skills in working with children Understanding of Health and Safety regulations in relation to premises management and their application within an educational environment Experience of working to Health and Safety legislation Experience of managing teams Experience in setting up and managing repairs and maintenance programmes Experience in managing building and maintenance contractors Experience of compiling health and safety documentation such as risk assessments, policies and statutory inspections logs. Experience of working in an educational environment Positive support for the implementation of school policies and procedures. Relevant qualifications in Health and Safety management (i.e. NEBOSH/ IOSH).
