Protocol Education is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a secondary school in Newcastle. As an LSA, you will work alongside the class teacher to support students with a range of needs, including special educational needs (SEN). This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children with their learning and development, ensuring they have the support they need to thrive in a school environment.
You will be responsible for providing 1:1 or small group support to students, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and promoting their independence. You’ll also help create an inclusive classroom atmosphere, supporting students in building their confidence, social skills, and academic abilities.
What you’ll need:
* Experience working in an educational setting (preferred)
* Ability to support students with SEN and additional learning needs
* A patient, caring, and compassionate attitude
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
