What to Expect
The Loss Prevention Specialist is responsible for proactive prevention of shortages caused by internal theft, external theft, and fraud. The Specialist collaborates with appropriate business partners to mitigate loss throughout Tesla. The role will work to maintain a proactive, operational, and business-aligned culture and approach to Tesla’s Loss Prevention Program. The Loss Prevention Specialist reports directly to the Senior Security Manager - EMEA.
What You’ll Do
* Lead, conduct, and deliver results regarding investigations of theft, fraud, and process gaps throughout the business.
* Prepare thorough reports regarding your findings related to theft, fraud, and process gaps. Provide policy guidance, education, and mitigation strategies to help meet business demands.
* Serve as a subject matter expert for business partners, keeping them informed of key issues, strategies, and the department’s performance.
* Analyze data, conduct audits, and identify trends to create actionable plans to mitigate risk.
* Accurately communicate verbally and in written form to the various business groups. Train and orient new employees regarding Loss Prevention best practices.
* Develop projects while continuously improving inventory practices, processes, standards, and policies for future growth.
* Ensure internal controls per Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for inventory control and record keeping. Leverage both internal and external resources in the performance of investigations as required.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience and professional certifications such as PCI and Certified Fraud Examiner are preferred.
* Solid experience in security service, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related fields in a fast-paced, multi-tasking corporate environment. A strong working knowledge of investigations best practices.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to interact with persons at all levels.
* Proven ability to be agile and work effectively in a dynamic environment. Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure and respond rapidly to emerging incidents and situations.
* Excellent coordination, project management, and organization skills; comfortable with multi-tasking in a high-energy environment. Should be a creative and analytical problem solver with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
* Strong familiarity with databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MYSQL, Access, Exception-Based Reporting.
* Must possess a valid driving license with full privileges and a valid passport.
