Job Summary
As the Assistant Manager, you will be liaising with the General Manager in the running of a busy shift. You’ll oversee a team of 12, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, leading by example and by experience. You will be in charge of ensuring all of your team are working to their maximum potential whilst also collectively delivering an outstanding customer experience.
Key elements of the role will include:
* Have a passion & extensive knowledge of drinks & cocktails.
* Have experience working in a demanding cocktail bar.
* Overseeing all elements of service on shift.
* Responsible for the enhancement of the customer experience (e.g., creative and professional visual merchandising; clean, safe, and presentable venue).
* Dealing with complaints and conflict resolution.
* Fostering strong relationships with all team members.
* Ensuring all staff on shift are dressed within appropriate standards, clean and presentable.
* Leading on recruitment, training, development, and mentoring of your team.
* Ensuring high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety are upheld.
About You
You’ll need to be a leader with a great work ethic, passion for customer service, and a ‘can do’ attitude. You’ll also need to have 1+ years of experience managing in a customer-facing/hospitality environment. You will also have the ability to work under pressure and perform to the highest standards, meeting customer demands and expectations.
Skills:
* Proven ability to motivate and drive teams.
* Hospitality management.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Ability to build strong relationships (internally and externally).
Knowledge:
* People leadership.
* Liquor licensing qualifications, first aid, and fire warden trained (desirable but not essential).
* Planning rotas, setting till plans, stock taking, cash and stock security.
* Familiarity with kitchen operations and structure, i.e., food safety.
Experience:
* Hospitality management of at least 1 year at a similar level.
* Managing teams.
* Recruitment and training.
* Safety management support and plans writing.

Pay: From £24,500.00 per year
