This fast-growing food manufacturing business, located near Stratford upon Avon, is looking for a Production Technician (Food) to join their team.
The production plant operates 24 / 7 and this role will require working a shift pattern of 12 hours, on a 4-On / 4-Off basis, covering days and nights. In return the successful Production Technician will receive a salary up to £41,922 (includes shift allowance) + non contractual bonus + 25 days holiday and 8% pension.
As a Production Technician your duties will include:
* Ensuring the safe operation of the food production plant to guarantee production targets are achieved in volume, quality, and efficiency.
* Ensuring all routine sampling and testing of the production processes are carried out and recorded as required.
* Recording and reporting data as requested using spread sheets.
* Ensuring all assigned routine safety and preventative maintenance checks are undertaken as scheduled.
* Assisting Maintenance Technicians in the event of plant failure.
* Ensuring that production related waste is moved to designated disposal locations in a timely fashion.
* Undertaking general housekeeping and cleaning of the areas.
To be a successful Production Technician you will have the following skills and experiences:
* Recent experience as a Production Technician/Operator in a Food Production/Food Manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge and understanding of typical SCADA, operator interface control systems, and PLC-based operations would be useful, but not essential.
* A hard-working aptitude, with an ambition to want to succeed and progress.
* Health and safety training, IOSH, BSI, NEBOSH would be desirable.
* Eligibility to work in the UK. (This company does not operate a Sponsorship scheme)
* Good English language skills and excellent understanding as a minimum.
Please Note – The role of Production Technician will involve using stairs, rung ladders and some high-level work areas.
This role is in a rural location, without access to public transport. It will require working in an agricultural environment
