As a Warehouse Operative, you'll play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the smooth handling and processing of materials in a modern, state-of-the-art setting.

Specific tasks include:
1. Pick computer generated orders with handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
2. Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
3. Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
4. Operate Saws/CNC machines as and when necessary and after full training.
5. Transferring stock to its location using Forklift trucks and cranes.
6. Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
7. Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times.
8. Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
9. Any ad hoc duties required in the role.

Essential Skills for the role:
1. The successful candidate will already have experience as a warehouse operative in a heavy industry or steel environment.
2. You should be used to working safely, adhering to all strict health and safety procedures.
3. Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
4. Trained to use mobile equipment (FLT, overhead crane, etc).
5. The ability to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out.
6. Keen for long-term career in the steel industry.
7. Open to any and all training necessary to ensure your skills continue to be fit for purpose.
Summary
£12.50 per hour whilst training.
Hours:
Either Monday to Friday 6am - 2pm or Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm.
