Overview
We are is seeking a skilled Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Wolverhampton site. This is a day-based, on-site role reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and efficiency of CNC and conventional machinery, as well as general facility maintenance tasks. This role is ideal for someone looking for a hands-on, proactive position in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates at optimal levels.
* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues, leveraging expertise in logic controllers and schematics.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and parts usage.
* Collaborative Improvement: Work with team members to identify and implement maintenance process improvements.
* Responsive Repairs: Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimize operational disruptions.
* Installation Assistance: Support the installation of new machinery and systems as needed.
* Facility Maintenance: Conduct ad hoc general facilities maintenance tasks.
* Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards during all tasks.
Requirements
* Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
* Proven background in maintenance engineering, including preventive maintenance.
* Hands-on experience with CNC and conventional machinery (highly desirable).
* Skills:
* Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
* Competence in reading and working with logic controllers and schematics.
* Knowledge of mechanical systems and safety regulations.
* Problem-solving mind-set and ability to work independently or within a small team.
* Education:
* Relevant technical certifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
