Group Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst
Location: London or Staines or Salford Quays
Permanent - Hybrid Working
Full time, 35 hours per week
£60-£65K depending on experience + 10% Bonus + fantastic benefits.

Working at the highest levels of the organisation within our Group CISO function, you’ll play a key role in helping both customer-facing and non-customer-facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of service and patient care. By providing strategic cyber threat intelligence to the business, you will help Bupa navigate the constantly evolving cyber threat landscape.
Role Overview
The purpose of this role is to assess, analyse, provide effective, efficient and actionable strategic threat intelligence for Bupa Group, whilst also assisting in the identification, assessment, and analysis of cyber threats, delivering effective, efficient, and actionable intelligence to support Bupa Group and its three Market Units (ELA, BGIUK, and APAC) in making informed decisions and enhancing their security posture.
As the Group Senior Threat Intelligence Analyst, reporting to the Group Head of Cyber Threat Intelligence and Offensive Security, you will strategically lead the discovery, research, and assessment of threats and adversary tradecraft. You will apply this intelligence to support both strategic initiatives and operational functions. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement activities for our processes, procedures, methods, and tooling as needed.
To be successful in this role, you must be self-driven, curious, and technically skilled in using data and information derived from multiple disciplines to solve analytical problems.
How you’ll help us make health happen:
1. Reviewing complex, technical threat data and enriching it with contextual information to produce intelligence for key senior stakeholders.
2. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect, assess, and share potential impacts of threats, digital footprint, brand, and reputational activities, providing actionable recommendations.
3. Produce and disseminate mainly strategic, operational, and occasionally tactical threat intelligence reports to relevant stakeholders.
4. Assist Market Unit TI teams and offer Subject Matter Expertise (SME) during tactical investigations into key Indicators Of Compromise (IOC’s) and Incident Response (IR) activities.
5. Lead collaboration activities and track threats across the organisation to provide intelligence that enhances understanding of potential adversaries and attack vectors.
6. Support security Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in integrating tools and access management by liaising with vendors and stakeholders.
7. Define and enhance threat intelligence capabilities through process development where automation can improve efficiency.
8. Deliver regular Threat Intelligence briefings to senior management, often at CISO level and above.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
1. Extensive experience as a Cyber Threat Intelligence analyst or in a similar position.
2. Ability to produce highly detailed and accurate strategic and operational analyst reports for the highest levels of the organisation.
3. Experience in regulatory report writing (CBEST, TIBER, CORIE, iCAST).
4. Demonstrable experience researching and analysing cyber threats across multiple industries or timeframes, including but not limited to finance, manufacturing, IT services, healthcare, and public sector.
5. Relevant professional qualifications in Threat Intelligence Analysis and Information Security.
6. Experience with collection, analysis, and interpretation of cyber threat intelligence from various sources, including OSINT, proprietary feeds, common cyber threat intelligence tools, and internal data.
7. Understanding of communication channels, delivery of information, tone, and attitude in messaging in a highly federated and regulated business.
8. Ability to adapt to a fast-moving environment to deliver high-quality intelligence content in a short timeframe.
9. Extensive knowledge of current security threats and vulnerabilities, detection and mitigation strategies, and their potential impacts on the customer’s environment.
10. Knowledge of threat actors, threat models, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), common frameworks, and common mitigations.
11. Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
12. GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware Certification (GREM).
13. CREST Registered Threat Intelligence Analyst (CRTIA).
