We are seeking a compassionate, proactive, and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), and other learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to contribute to students’ academic progress and personal development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work closely with teachers to deliver tailored support to students with SEN, both in the classroom and during one-on-one sessions.
* Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support students in achieving their learning objectives.
* Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where students feel valued and supported.
* Assist with personal care or mobility needs for students where required.
* Monitor and document students’ progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents/carers.
* Encourage and promote positive behavior and emotional well-being.
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is essential.
* A relevant qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or similar is desirable.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
* Patience, resilience, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people’s education and development.
* An understanding of safeguarding practices and a willingness to undertake further training if required
