I am recruiting a CARING and PASSIONATE Shift Manager to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people by providing homely supported living for adults with learning disabilities. As a Shift Manager, you will focus on supporting adults with learning disabilities and ensuring they receive the best possible care and support.
The role involves supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager, as well as deputising in their absence, in leading a team to maintain a stable, happy, and caring environment that prioritizes the health, safety, development, and welfare of our young adults. You will provide appropriate physical and emotional support to the young adults in residence through the work of a care team within a residential environment.

* Salary: £30,000- £32,801 ***Plus £1,500 Welcome Bonus****
* Location: Bristol City Centre
* Hours: Full-time (Working to a 2-week rota pattern which typically includes working every other weekend)

As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
* Leading a shift of support workers in the provision of care that promotes the overall well-being, health, and development of young adults.
* Working with our Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to provide a supportive, friendly, and fun environment for young adults to live, learn, and thrive in.
* Providing support to ensure the young adults have a great life and learn new skills, while also helping the staff enjoy their work and feel supported.
Requirements:
* QCF Level 2 in Adult Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
* Knowledge of management practices, including principles of effective supervision and appraisal.
* Good knowledge of learning disabilities and/or special needs, including recent developments.
* Good knowledge of recognised positive approaches to working with challenging behaviours associated with learning difficulties.
* Knowledge of equal opportunities and discrimination and how they can be prevented.
* Knowledge of regulatory standards and legislation.
* Experience working at the Senior Support Worker level in a residential care environment, along with experience managing or supporting a team working a rota pattern.
* Proven experience working effectively with young people/adults with learning disabilities and/or special needs.
* Experience in planning and organising activities appropriate to meet young adults' needs and abilities, demonstrating positive outcomes.
* Experience in person-centred planning.
