Buyer £25,000 - £30,000 North Lincolnshire Grafton Recruitment are working with a large global manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Buyer to join them in the North Lincolnshire area. As a Buyer you will be responsible for the procurement function including sourcing, negotiating, purchasing activities and building supplier relationships. THE ROLE: Some of your responsibilities as a Buyer. Support the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager with administration and other duties as required. Negotiate with suppliers to improve the cost base and achieve savings on pricing and other commercial terms. Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers. Ensure that supply chain risks are identified and mitigated on a daily basis. Manage indirect spend contracts Ensure quality levels and on-time delivery Analyse and report on supplier performance and commodity price movements Identify purchasing strategies to achieve the lowest total cost to the business whilst ensuring quality, reliability and resilience of supply and meeting the environmental and sustainability requirements of the business. Liaise with production staff on materials issues and requirements. THE CANDIDATE: Can demonstrate previous procurement experience in a fast paced procurement department and manufacturing facility.
