Glodwick Infant and Nursery is an exceptional school, working within a unique environment.
The Governing Board are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator with ambition to progress by joining our leadership team. The post is effective from 1 September 2025 with interviews taking place on Thursday 24 April 2025. The school are in the process of future proofing the leadership and management establishing a changed management structure to support ongoing success. This post is part of this process.
The Associate Head will be a key thought-partner and collaborator with the Head Teacher and will join a very experienced and dynamic administrative team, helping to unify and sustain the momentum to build upon the school's many significant strengths alongside its challenges.
The Head Teacher has overall strategic and statutory responsibility for the school, and will support and advise the Associate Head Teacher in the delivery of their role, the key elements being to:
contribute significantly to the strategic management of the school as a key leader, including assuming responsibility in the absence of the Head Teacher
undertake day to day leadership of the school in partnership with the Head Teacher and ensure the delivery of operational activity in the context of the school’s inclusive pedagogy and ethos always maintaining a safe environment
further develop and maintain the SEND and Mental Health inclusivity drive for the school, demonstrating a key interest, skill and knowledge in this vital aspect of school life in 21st Century Britain.
undertake the delivery of exemplary teaching and learning within the EYFS and KS1 to support the management responsibilities of the two deputy head teachers / phase leaders and SENCO.
