As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you are responsible for the assessment and care of respiratory patients, prioritization of treatment, delivery of care, and evaluation.
The post holder is expected to carry out all relevant forms of care with or without direct supervision, demonstrate procedures, and supervise qualified and/or unqualified staff within the department.
Main Duties of Junior Sister / Charge Nurse:
1. Oversee the day-to-day function of the ward.
2. Support the Ward Manager with the day-to-day management of the ward, including ensuring staffing levels are safe, raising concerns, and arranging cover when necessary.
3. Support the Ward Manager in managing post holders within ward establishment.
4. Lead a team and ensure you have an appropriately skilled and effective workforce.
5. Maintain a flexible approach to working patterns; this post will require rotation to night duty and weekend working, including bank holidays, to ensure the unit's establishment.
As a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse on Fordwich Ward, your responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the Ward Manager in managing post holders within ward establishment, including registered nurses and generic support workers.
2. Maintaining a flexible approach to working patterns, including rotation to night duty and weekend working.
