We are based across a few locations, but operate as one team, and work together to create a positive, productive and highly efficient finance department within News UK. Role Objectives Procurement of technology based current and future suppliers - predominately software solutions/services and professional services, whilst also supporting broadcasting based current and future suppliers. Working in collaboration with end business units, specifically central Technology and Editorial Digital Products, MarTech, Broadcasting. Grow and develop range of categories supported by procurement Delivering cost savings and cost avoidance on categories under procurement management. Ensuring full supplier due diligence and adherence to company policies through collaborative work with SME areas, specifically H&S&S, finance, legal, cyber security and DPO to Liaise with business units in the deployment of programs and cost management/sign off. Completion of governance documents as required. Completion of procurement savings/activity reports. Work in collaboration with affiliate and parent company as required for cross entity/global programs Become a trust procurement advisor for category responsibilities Key Skills In-depth procurement knowledge of technology based goods and services. The focus for this role is predominately software solutions and services and professional services, whilst also supporting broadcasting. Full lifecycle and project management of sourcing programs, including spend analysis, tender and commercial negotiations. This will be from light basic profiles to large scale complex programs.
