Midlock Medical Centre is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, friendly and confident individual to join our team of Medical Receptionists to provide a high quality service to our patients and service users on a part-time basis of 24 hours per week.
Applicants should have a flair for exceptional customer service, as well as being able to multi-task and prioritise their workload. Candidates should be IT literate and enjoy working as part of a team as well as using their own initiative when required. You should have excellent communication skills, and adhere to patient confidentiality at all times.
This is a varied role and tasks will include:
1. Answering and making telephone calls to patients and external agencies
2. Arranging appointments
3. Signposting patients to the correct healthcare service
4. Processing of prescriptions
5. Filing and managing clinical mail
6. Inputting information and data into clinical systems
7. Overseeing and managing our patient recall functions
8. Liaising with General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists, Physiotherapy and other members of our multidisciplinary team
Hours of work:
Monday - 08.00 – 18.00
Wednesday - 08.00 – 13.00
Thursday - 08.00 – 18.00
