Communications Manager The Resolute Group are working in partnership with a client operating across the Transportation sector, collaborating closely with key stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, Train Operating Companies, Network Rail, TfN, and the DfT, to drive positive outcomes. Pay rate : £500 - £525 Day Rate ( up to 3 months, with the potential to increase to 6 months ) Location : Manchester ( Hybrid working arrangement ) Role: The Resolute Group is working in partnership with a local authority that is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to join the team as an interim Communication and Engagement Contractor professional. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in providing support to our client’s Communication & Engagement plans and campaigns. To ensure seamless stakeholder engagement and effective public relations. Key Responsibilities Provide daily support for stakeholder engagement and public relations activities, including organising events, preparing briefings, managing speaking opportunities, handling correspondence, and creating newsletters. Maintain and coordinate a comprehensive Communications and Engagement Grid to ensure seamless planning and execution. Manage and deliver internal and external campaigns and projects aligned with organisational goals. Act as a press and media liaison, including participating in an on-call rota for press enquiries and conducting daily media monitoring. Support political and social media monitoring to provide actionable insights that enhance communication strategies and stakeholder engagement. Serve as a Communications Business Partner for designated teams, offering strategic support and guidance to develop and implement communication and engagement plans. Experience Required Extensive experience in public affairs, media relations, social media, internal communications, stakeholder engagement, and multi-channel communication strategies. Proven track record of building and maintaining effective relationships with diverse stakeholders and media representatives. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely for various audiences. The ideal professional would need prior client-side experience, ideally within the public sector- examples include Network Rail, Transport for the North (TfN), the Department for Transport (DfT), Transport for London (TfL), Train Operating Companies, the NHS, Local Authorities, or the Ministry of Defence (MOD).
