Job Title: Procurement Manager for Heavylift and Transport Projects
Salary: £43,300 - £55,000 depending on experience with excellent benefits package
Location: Mammoet UK office in Thornaby, Teesside, with some travel required both in the UK and overseas
Mammoet UK is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager! In this role, you will lead regional purchasing and sourcing strategies aligned with our global procurement manual, maximizing buying power for savings and value. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, this is a standalone, full-time, permanent position based at the Mammoet UK office in Thornaby.

Responsibilities
* Develop, manage, and ensure realization of the regional procurement and sourcing plan in accordance with the Global Procurement Manager.
* Negotiate with suppliers, acquire approval, prepare proposals, and close contracts to meet business requirements.
* Ensure quality of supply of third-party goods and services through supplier selection, contract management, and performance monitoring.
* Report periodically on procurement performance across the region, countries, businesses, and projects.
* Manage and improve administrative activities and systems in line with internal requirements.
* Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and support business growth.
Qualifications
* Experience in a similar role, preferably in civil engineering, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, or mining sectors.
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
* Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office systems.
* Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas.
* Completed post-secondary education.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Ability to manage supplier relationships and monitor performance.
