The Role:
As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our homecare services in West Kent and West Sussex. You will support the Registered Manager in overseeing the care team, ensuring that high standards of care are consistently delivered, and that we remain compliant with CQC regulations.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting the management of day-to-day operations: Assisting the Registered Manager in coordinating and supervising the care team to ensure smooth service delivery.
Client care planning, and risk assessments: Overseeing and participating in the development and review of care plans, and assessments, ensuring that they are person-centred and tailored to individual needs.
Team leadership and supervision: Mentoring and developing staff, conducting supervisions, appraisals, and supporting the recruitment of new care staff.
Quality assurance and compliance: Ensuring compliance with all CQC regulations and internal quality standards. You will contribute to audits, incident reviews, and improvements in service delivery.
Liaising with stakeholders: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, their families, health professionals, and local authorities to ensure the best outcomes for those we support.
On-call duties: Participating in the on-call rota, offering out-of-hours support and ensuring continuity of care.
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
Experience: Ideally 2 years of experience in a similar role within the homecare or healthcare sector, preferably with supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications: A minimum Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or equivalent); Level 5 in Leadership and Management is desirable.
Knowledge: A strong understanding of CQC regulations and compliance requirements within homecare services.
Leadership skills: You'll need to be a natural leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating and developing a team.
Organisational skills: Strong time management and problem-solving abilities to ensure efficient operations and high standards of care.
Commitment to quality care: A passion for delivering excellent care and promoting the dignity, independence, and well-being of service users.
Flexibility: It is a very large area that is covered, the ideal candidate needs to be able to adapt to changing needs of the business, there will be travel involved; therefore a full driving licence is required.
