The role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stores and Yard person to work with our prestigious water company based in Dumfries. Reporting to the Manager / Supervisor you will provide an invaluable service to the team by ordering PPE, consumables and stock materials and organising and maintain the stores and yard.
Responsibilities include:
1. To service EWW Engineers with various equipment.
2. Complete all necessary work records, documentation and reports
3. Undertake routine stock taking.
4. Keeping Yard, workshop and stores in an organised state.
5. Loading and unloading pick-up as required.
6. Picking up and delivering goods to sites.
7. Advise and/or assist other Operatives / personnel where necessary.
About you
8. Experience of working as a yards/store’s person.
9. Able to demonstrate good team working with multi-skilled teams.
10. Proven experience in working with others.
11. Recognises and exhibits behaviours of the businesses core values.
12. Looks for opportunities to help or be of service to other departments.
13. Ability to understand and be familiar with Safety regulations/standards in the workplace.
14. Good verbal and written skills.
15. Forklift experience advantageous
