People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in the Tamworth area.

Basic: £13.46 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
Multi drop deliveries of up to between 17 and 23 drops per day.
Deliveries are made using pump truck and sack barrel, all stock is palletised (multiple customers on one pallet)
Drivers are required to break down the pallets and deliver inside customer premises. Not doorstep deliveries.
Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
Ensure duties are carried out within legal requirements.
Ensure all scheduled deliveries and collections are completed on time, in full on a daily basis.
Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to final delivery point as requested. Report any problems with delivery sites.
Ensure that all POD paperwork is correct and signed for either on paper or electronically using Microlise device.
Present a professional image to the customer, be pleasant and comply with company dress requirements.
As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will need to have:
Valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
Valid Digital Tachograph Card
Valid Driver CPC
Satisfactory driving record
Maximum of six penalty points on your Licence
Knowledge of East Midlands area preferred
Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
Driver's Assessment must be completed prior to starting
Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
