Role Overview:
The equity execution trader roles plays an instrumental role in achieving our vision of being one of the leading agency equity single-stock and portfolio trading desks in the EMEA region and globally.
The Equity Execution desk is an important part of the Liquidnet Equity division, operating as a single desk to manage and execute all Algorithmic, Portfolio and High Touch trading orders sent by clients.
This role reports to the EMEA Head of Trading who in turn reports to the EMEA Head of Execution & Quantitative Services (EQS) who is tasked with developing and supporting a successful trading department including a trading desk, strategies, TCA & analytics, resources and processes that deliver financial results in alignment with our business objective.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for meeting trading revenue targets for the EMEA trading Desk and working with other teams, regions and product lines in an effort for them to grow and meet their goals.
2. Work with the team to execute all equity orders across EMEA primarily focused on single-stock equities, portfolio trading and ETFs.
3. Communicate trading strategies encompassing Liquidnet’s core offering.
4. Perform real-time monitoring of algo orders for clients and provide a best-in-class customer service experience (market colour, benchmark selection, etc.) and complete account management, (i.e. onboarding).
5. Analyse pre-trade and communicate post-trade reports.
6. Leverage our resources to grow business and cross-sell our product lines.
7. Forge Strong Relationships/Teamwork.
Experience / Competences:
1. 3 years + experience as an Equity Trader/ Sales Trader - program trading and algorithmic trading experience preferred.
2. Strong track record of selling to institutional customers to meet business objectives and revenue goals.
3. Experience with quantitative trading strategies, pre- and post-trade analytics, including TCA.
4. Strong understanding of market structure and regulation.
5. Superior communication skills, self-motivated and responsible.
6. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills.
8. High energy and drive with a commitment to delivering and ensuring excellence.
9. Ability to travel as required.
