Utilities Operations Manager £35-40K must have own car, onsite parking
Are you an experienced and highly skilled Utilities Operations Manager looking for your next challenge? This is a fantastic opportunity to join our highly successful client, overseeing project-based installations involving non-return valves, flat valves, sluice gates, and penstocks. If you have a strong background in managing complex utility projects, with experience in sustainable drainage planters and an aptitude for leadership, we want to hear from you!
Key responsibilities:
1. Project Oversight: Lead the delivery of installation projects, ensuring quality and compliance with safety and operational standards.
2. Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing expert advice, project updates, and managing relationships to ensure satisfaction.
3. RAMS & Scope of Works: Develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) alongside clear and detailed scopes of work for each project.
4. Site Surveys & Measurements: Conduct site surveys, including the taking of measurements for valves and other components, ensuring accurate specifications for manufacturing.
5. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of skilled professionals, fostering collaboration, efficiency, and safety on-site.
6. Sustainable Drainage Systems: Knowledge of or experience with sustainable drainage planters is highly beneficial.
7. Confined Space Awareness: Ideally, you will have confined space experience or a good understanding of working in such environments.
8. IOSH Qualification: Essential to ensure a high level of health and safety compliance on site.
9. Project Management Experience: Previous experience in managing projects involving valve installations or similar infrastructure components.
10. Leadership: Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage teams effectively and efficiently.
11. Communication & Organisation: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across teams and clients. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
12. IT Literacy: Proficient in using office software and project management tools.
13. Confined Space Knowledge: Understanding of confined space regulations and safety practices (training may be provided).
