Your Role As a Bus Station Central Utility Officer,you ll work ina team supporting the operation of Bee Network interchanges across Greater Manchester. You will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day operation of all TfGM transport interchanges, helping customers make their journeys, working closely with the TfGM Operational Control Centre and being an active part of TFGM s Facilities Operations team. The Central Utility Officer provides cover for Bus Station Supervisor, Bus Station Assistant, Bee Network Customer Service Assistant and Travelshop Assistant at all of TfGM's operational sites.This varied role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the requirements of specific sites and each of the roles covered. This role involves; cleaningfacilities (including public toilets and other passenger facilities), customer service, retail ticket sales and operational facility supervision. The role has an element of outside working for long periods of the day. You will have regular face to face contact with our customers and must have the ability to resolve a wide range of issues effectively, without the need to escalate. We have operational facilities across Greater Manchester, and you will be required to cover shifts at any of these locations depending on site requirements and operational demands. You will work to a 3-line rota pattern with set rest days. Your location of work will be provided up to 2 weeks in advance and will be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure you will always have details of where you are working and what role on the interchange you are covering. You will become a key member of the Facilities Operationsteam and play a big part in the delivery of TfGM Facilities Operations objectives. This is a shift working role and involvesweekend working. Normal duty hours are between 0700 2300 Monday to Saturday, 1000 1700 on Sundays and 1000 1800 on Public Holidays. For more info see Job Profile below. Who are we? You will have a mobile device to assist you in producing records and reports so some experience of using Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams will be necessary. You will have experience in dealing with challenging/confrontational situations and understand best practices in conflict management and resolution. You will show a passion for cleanliness at our facilities and maintain high standards of cleaning. You will have knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and how this relates to safe operations at our interchanges. What we can offer you We offer a competitive salary starting from 29,881 per annum plus a shift allowance of 15%, this means that as you ll work on a rostered basis, we ll add an extra 15% onto your total pay for the month (not just for certain shifts).You will also be able to claim mileage and travel time expenses and you ll provided with a full uniform Through this advertisement, we have two permanent Central Utility Officer roles, and a permanent role based at our Wigan Bus Station.
