Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the MSK Physiotherapy Team in the Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, as a Band 6 Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist working within the Luton & Dunstable Hospital site(s). We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and self-motivated physiotherapist who has experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy to join our team. The service is committed to developing staff and others including a commitment to student placements. This role can involve working across different clinic locations and you will have opportunity to improve your leadership skills through mentorship of other clinicians, support workers and students. Our department receives referrals from specialist clinics such asRheumatology, Orthopaedics, Spinal surgery, A&E, and Pain Clinic. The successful applicant must be able to perform highly skilled physiotherapy assessmentsandtreatment for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal presentations as well as an ability to problem solve. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills, communication and documentation skills prioritise and delegate effectively. Main duties of the job To undertake the advanced assessment and treatment of patients within the speciality who may have a complex and/or chronic presentation. To determine a clinical diagnosis, to treat as indicated and to maintain records as an autonomous practitioner. To plan, deliver and evaluate appropriate treatment programmes and where required do so in partnership with GP's, Consultants and other Therapies. To participate in the planning, delivery and evaluation of classes for group rehabilitation in the Community. To manage your own clinical and personal professional development, using your acquired knowledge to assist team education and development for an optimum provision of future patient care. Monitor and support Band 5/4 clinicians.
