Role & Responsibilities
As a Principal Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering temporary and permanent works design and checking tasks with full autonomy. You will lead complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and ensure that all work meets statutory regulations, Eurocode standards, and best industry practices. You will collaborate with internal teams and external clients, ensuring the successful execution of projects in terms of quality, budget, and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
·Independently delivering temporary and permanent works designs and method development tasks.
·Managing project lifecycles, from initial brief to final delivery.
·Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
·Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
·Promoting best practices in engineering, quality, and commercial frameworks.
Requirements
·BEng (Hons) degree in engineering (structural, civil, or related fields).
·CEng MICE or MIStructE (or near chartered considered)
·Minimum 7 years' relevant post-graduate experience.
·Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and design software relevant to temporary and permanent works.
·Ability to manage and deliver complex engineering projects.
·Excellent communication and leadership skills.
