The Cashroom Department plays an integral role within our client’s business, ensuring that the legal teams can focus on delivering high quality legal services to clients. Your key responsibilities will include: Manage the cash and other financial resources of the company, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Processing and reconciling daily transactions, managing bank accounts, and ensuring that all cash and bank balances are accurate and up-to-date Identifying discrepancies in financial records and developing strategies to mitigate those risks Work closely with other departments within the firm to ensure that financial decisions are aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives Responsible for managing relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks and other financial institutions Provide regular financial reports and updates to these stakeholders to ensure that the firm is meeting its financial and regulatory obligations Operating in compliance with all relevant regulations including The Law Society of Scotland (LSS), Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) Maintaining firm and client accounts Processing CHAPS & BACS transactions Bank reconciliations Assisting with month-end procedures Daily banking routines and balancing Purchase ledger invoice management To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for the following background: Previous experience working within a similar finance related role Knowledge of the PMS system 3E would be advantageous, but not essential Strong MS Office including Excel skills Highly motivated and proactive team with player with the ability to plan and manage high and varied workload Our client would support the successful candidate through a professional qualification if required Full training would be provided This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a modern, professional and rewarding environment, supported by a competitive remuneration and benefits package.
