Description Salary £24,404 - £25,183 per annum | Fixed Term - 6 months from start date | Full Time, 37 hours per week | International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship Business Support Officer We have an opportunity for a temporary Business Support Officer within the Countywide Services Support Team. Lancashire Highways Service is responsible for the direct delivery of all highway related schemes across the County made up of 4'300 miles of road, 151'000 street lights and 2'955 bridges. You will provide operational highways support and administrative functions including: Processing of creditor invoices and statements of accounts. Input of data into IT systems for: HR, creditor invoices, job costings, time recording for payroll purposes. Processing of payroll information i.e. hours worked, leave, sickness, standby & winter maintenance units. Liaising with members of the public, customers and other LCC colleagues either face to face or via telephone in a prompt and courteous manner in an effort to provide an efficient support service. Undertaking other duties as reasonably requested by the Highways Support Manager. The Business Support Officer will require excellent time management, data processing and customer service skills. An ability to work both unsupervised and as part of a team are key to this role. This position is full time temporary fixed term for 6 months from start date and will be working 37 hours per week. The role includes working at home and working in the office on a rota basis. The team's office base is Whalley or Bamber Bridge but you may occasionally be required to travel to other depots within Lancashire.
