We are looking for an experienced nurse to step into the post of Ward Sister/Charge Nurse for Lugg Ward. Lugg is a 30 bedded mixed speciality Cardiology and Gastroenterology ward.

You will be expected to provide leadership and support to the nursing team on the ward and ensure standards are maintained.
Main duties of the job
1. To be accountable and responsible for the standards of care provided on the ward.
2. To ensure the development of patient centred care utilising available evidence based practice to attain this.
3. To promote good clinical practice and innovation through staff development and ensure that planning and implementation of service delivery achieves high standards of patient care.
4. To demonstrate effective communication, utilizing a range of strategies, to ensure agreement and co-operation within large diverse groups.
5. To contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives.
6. To participate in the delivery of direct patient care.
7. To act as a role model for staff and visitors to the ward.
8. To be a supportive and compassionate leader.
