Job Title: 1:1 SEMH TA Needed in Skelmersdale Location: North West England, Lancashire, Skelmersdale Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours Salary: £140 - £190 Per day Job Duties: Provide 1:1 support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Support students in their academic and social development Help manage challenging behaviours and provide a safe learning environment Required Qualifications: Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification Experience working with students with SEMH needs Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies Education: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Experience: Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues Good understanding of SEMH strategies and interventions Preferred Qualifications: Additional training in supporting students with SEMH needs First Aid certification Working Conditions: This role may involve some challenging behaviours and emotional situations. The work environment will be within an educational setting, collaborating closely with teachers and other support staff.
