The primary team at Teaching Personnel are looking for passionate, proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support the learning of pupils in one of our Primary Schools in Newton Aycliffe on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build positive relationships with pupils and have a long-term, positive impact on their lives, progress and development. 2. The School supports pupils across the Primary School age range (2-11) and there are opportunities to support pupils across all years groups depending on your preference and specialism.

Pay, Hours and Contract:
1. Pay - Between £80-110 per day
2. Contract - Full-time until the end of the Academic Year in July 2025. Temporary Contract.
3. Start Date - ASAP.

About the Role:
1. The role will involve supporting pupils across the Primary School age-range who have a wide range of SEND and challenging behaviour.
2. The role will involve supporting pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups. The different types of SEN that pupils have may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, PMLD, SLD, MLD and PMLD.
3. Some pupils may require personal care and some pupils may be non-verbal or pre-verbal. Pupils may also display challenging behaviour.
4. A key part of the role will be to build a rapport and positive relationships with pupils to help them to engage with their learning and make progress both academically and as young people.
5. A key part of the role will also be to develop an understanding of the different needs and learning styles of different pupils within the classroom, working closely alongside Class Teachers and colleagues to establish this.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:
1. A Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare-based Qualification (desired)
2. Experience of working with Children in Schools in the UK
3. An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff.
4. A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
5. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
6. Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two years
