Primary Function: Responsible for performing nuclear imaging studies which produce quality images using radioactive nuclides.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients by injection or capsule technique.
2. Perform imaging studies using a Gamma-Camera.
3. Analyze appropriate computer studies.
4. Monitor performance of imaging equipment.
5. Conduct periodic quality control of all equipment used for various procedures.
6. Record all doses administered to patients properly.
7. Ensure that all radioactive materials are stored and disposed properly.
8. Comply with all federal, state and Hospital regulatory policies and procedures.
9. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Specifications: Vocational/technical training and a minimum of six months job-related experience or equivalent is required. CPR Certification Required. Nuclear Med Tech Cert. is also required.
