Job Description
Kanadevia Inova are hiring Welders for field based call out work, to our client sites around the UK and occasionally Europe.
38 hours per week (Mon-Thu 8 hours & Fri 6 hours). Over time rates for Monday to Saturday and Sunday and Bank Holidays.
As part of the service for some clients, an On-Call element is added to the package. As such, employees may be required to be on a rotating On-Call rota system 1 week in every 6 weeks.
Active call out duty means the employee will be expected to:
1. be available to take calls from active sites
2. if necessary, attend site to resolve specific issues
3. remain compliant to attend site in accordance with site rules
Where applicable and if eligibility criteria is met within our company policy, there can be certain allowances such as; daily accommodation allowance, daily meal allowance, on-call allowance and travel time.
Welding Expertise: Perform all welding responsibilities with at least 3 certifications, interpreting blueprints, preparing surfaces, and ensuring proper weld penetration and aesthetics.
* Quality and Safety: Monitors weld quality using tools, prevents issues like overheating or distortion, and follows all safety standards and procedures, including ISO 9001/2015 practices.
* Tool and Equipment Operation: Operates various welding tools and machinery (e.g., grinders, forklifts), ensuring proper use and safe operation.
* Team Collaboration and HSEQ Commitment: Works as a team member, supports colleagues, and actively leads and encourages compliance with HSEQ requirements, conducting risk assessments and following RAMS.
* Continuous Improvement and Reporting: Aims for self-improvement to enhance performance, contributes feedback, and keeps site supervisors informed of all activities, following up on deviations and claims.
Qualifications
* City and Guilds Level 3 Engineering
* Experienced in delivering Welding services to a large industrial plant and performing work in accordance with HSEQ legal requirements
* Knowledge of relevant international and national technical standards
* Working in enclosed space certified
* Good command of English, other languages an advantage
