Night Hygiene Operative
Pay: £13.22 per hour + night shift premium
Shifts: Up to 5 nights per week, 8 to 10 hours per shift
Location: Spalding
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out general and machinery cleaning tasks as per schedule and additional duties based on observations.
2. Dismantle and reassemble equipment in line with procedures and training.
3. Follow lock-off procedures and communicate effectively.
4. Identify and report any issues such as missing parts, damages, stock shortages, or inaccessible areas.
5. Ensure all documentation is completed and cleaning standards are met.
6. Handle and store cleaning chemicals safely, maintaining high hygiene standards.
7. Escalate any concerns and provide detailed handovers.
8. Complete periodical cleaning tasks within set timescales.
9. Make suggestions for process improvements and support their implementation.
10. Ensure the team completes all scheduled and periodical cleaning tasks.
11. Conduct stock checks and report required orders.
12. Audit cleaning processes and support investigations into incidents or accidents.
13. Step up in the absence of a Supervisor.
14. Train and onboard new team members.
15. Coordinate handovers and maintain fire register records.
16. Complete necessary paperwork and hygiene swabs.
17. Support and advise in writing and improving cleaning procedures.
18. Contribute to improvements in health & safety, engineering, and production.
What We're Looking For:
1. A team player who can also work independently when required.
2. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
3. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
4. Good organisational skills and a proactive approach to maintaining high standards.
