Summary of Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join us at Nidec Drives as a HR Business Partner. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management within our business unit, as well as serving as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.
The role will also be instrumental in delivering HR programmes and managing HR-related activity, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional HR services to the organisation that support key business objectives.
This position reports to the Global HR Director and is situated within the Human Resources Department at Nidec Drives headquarters in Newtown.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Collaborating with business leaders in our global HQ to understand the business strategies and provide HR solutions that are aligned with these.
* Developing, planning and executing HR programmes, including talent development, performance management, and employee engagement initiatives, and ensuring that these programmes are effective, efficient and culturally relevant.
* Collaborating with global HR to adapt and implement talent management strategies that meet local needs while ensuring alignment with global strategies, which includes talent acquisition, development and retention
* Serving as a trusted advisor to employees and management, handling any HR-related inquiries or complaints and ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
* Leading change initiatives, ensuring that change management strategies are executed effectively including communication, training and support for affected employees.
* Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
* Advising on employment law and best practices, ensuring company compliance with all relevant legislation
* Promoting a culture of diversity and inclusivity, aligning with The Organisation’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Implementing and managing the global performance management process, providing support and guidance to leaders and employees throughout the process.
* Analysing HR metrics to gauge the effectiveness of HR initiatives & strategies, and providing regular HR reports to global HQ.
* Overseeing the onboarding process to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the company.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required:
* CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
* In-depth knowledge of HR Functions, best practices, and employment law
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills
* Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
* Accustomed to managing case load of disciplinaries, grievances etc.
* Proficient in HR software
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
* Master’s or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
* Experience using Workday
Travel Requirements:
* Regular travel between our sites in Newtown and Telford
