MERJE is currently looking to recruit a Fraud Investigator for our client, a leading insurance business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to protect the business and customers from fraud in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary: £25,000-£29,000
Location: Manchester. Hybrid working available with 1 day per week in the office.

The Role
As a Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage, you'll manage a portfolio of suspected organised/opportunistic accidental damage claims, conduct interviews, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to evaluate evidence and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities of the Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage:
1. Conduct thorough investigations of suspected fraudulent Accidental Damage claims
2. Perform telephone interviews with customers and engage with external suppliers
3. Utilise various databases and liaise with law enforcement agencies
4. Assess evidence including intelligence, Police reports, and engineering evidence
5. Meet agreed fraud KPIs and targets while ensuring compliance with company procedures
Required Knowledge and Experience for the Fraud Investigator - Accidental Damage Role:
1. Proven track record of managing a caseload with adherence to SLAs
2. Strong understanding of FCA, Consumer Duty, and FOS
3. Good understanding of the motor insurance industry
4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
5. Self-motivated with a proactive approach and ability to work in a team
