An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the leadership team in south east Essex as Head of Community Nursing Services for community health services.
The Head of Community Nursing will provide vision and professional leadership to the adult community nursing teams, including district nursing and palliative care. They will be responsible for all aspects of clinical nursing practice ensuring nurses: have the right skills to provide the right care and are capable, confident and competent to deliver high quality person centred service which is dynamic, proactive and is responsive to local health needs.

The post holder will support development and delivery of the overall strategic direction, performance and success of the services they are responsible for. They will be expected to develop close partnership working with all relevant internal and external stakeholders across community physical and mental health services to support patients at place.
They will champion the benefits of integrated working at place and actively contribute to the planning and successful delivery of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. The Head of Community Nursing will be expected to support the transformation of services across the Mid and South Essex Community Collaborative and work with the South East Essex Alliance and Acute Trust to improve community nursing pathways.
