Assembly Technician
* £13.25 - £13.70 per hour

We are working with a long-standing client of ours based in Wythenshawe who are experts in the aviation industry looking for an Assembly/Mechanical Technician.
The Job
1. Manufacture and develop trim jigs for the 5 Axis machines.
2. Dress and mount vac form tooling as required.
3. Hand trim components for FAS and 5 Axis teaching aid.
4. Produce all seat plastics components to the highest quality standard, including but not restricted to the following processes (scraping, tool making, vacuum forming, trimming, gluing, and assembly).
5. Work within the COSHH guidelines and ensure correct wearing of appropriate PPE.
6. Work from engineering drawings and work instructions, ensuring a high calibre of quality is followed at all times.
7. Ensure the workshop is maintained to a safe standard in accordance with company EH&S policies/procedures.
8. Kit components as required.
About You
1. Manual Dexterity.
2. Proven experience in Assembly.
3. Competent and proficient in the use of all workshop machinery through the company training program.
4. Experience using hand tools.
5. Capable of reading and understanding Standard Measuring Equipment (SME).
6. Able to interpret Assembly/Engineering drawings.
7. Keen eye for detail.
