Job Summary: As the Head of Quality and Curriculum, you will play a pivotal role in both maintaining and enhancing the quality of our educational offerings and overseeing the development and implementation of our curriculum for apprenticeships and adult education. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of quality assurance activities and curriculum development tasks, including acting as the Ofsted Nominee, preparing Self-Assessment Reports (SAR), developing Quality Improvement Plans (QIP), supporting Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs), conducting standardisation meetings, and overseeing curriculum design and effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve as the Ofsted Nominee for the provider.
2. Lead the development and implementation of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
3. Support and guide Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs) in their roles.
4. Organise and conduct regular standardisation meetings to ensure consistency and quality across all educational provisions.
5. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching, learning, and assessment practices, as well as curriculum relevance and impact.
6. Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance the quality of education and training, as well as curriculum development.
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements related to further education, skills training, and curriculum standards.
8. Collaborate with other departments to align quality assurance processes and curriculum development with organisational goals.
9. Lead the design and review of curriculum frameworks for apprenticeships and adult education programs.
10. Facilitate professional development and training for staff in areas of curriculum innovation and best practices.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within the further education and skills sector, with additional experience in curriculum development and management.
- Thorough understanding of Ofsted requirements, Education Inspection Framework (EIF), quality standards in education, and curriculum design principles.
- Past experience as an Ofsted Nominee for a educational provider that has been awarded Good or Outstanding
- Designed, implemented and managed curriculums with apprenticeship and adult education insitutions
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving educational excellence.
- Ability to analyse data, produce detailed reports, and make data-informed decisions for curriculum improvements.
- A commitment to continuous professional development, quality improvement, and staying abreast of current trends in curriculum development.
