Job Description
We are looking for creative and innovative Cloud Administrator to join our cloud development employees within the Data Hub team.
Reporting to the Lead Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for daily monitoring, deployment, and administration of our Azure production and development environments. You will work closely with other members of the technology team and assist in the delivery and monitoring of new client-facing solutions.
As an integral member of Data Hub you will be working alongside our team of cloud architects, business analysts, database developers and data engineers.
Principle Accountabilities
1. Monitor uptime and availability of production services to ensure the smooth running of all environments (Including web applications and databases)
2. Under the guidance of the Lead Cloud Architect, you will assist in the deployment of cloud solutions to meet client contractual obligations and deadlines
3. Creation and maintenance of solution documentation
4. Manage Azure identities and governance
5. Implement and manage storage
6. Configure and manage virtual networking
7. End-user support (internal and external)
8. Assist in the rollout and support of new Azure-based solutions
9. Maintain active knowledge of the latest Azure technologies and updates applicable to our usage and requirements
Qualifications
Skills and Experiences:
1. Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) would be a minimum requirement unless you can sufficiently demonstrate your Azure experience. An associate-level certificate would be advantageous.
2. Broad and fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Azure with demonstratable experience in deploying and administrating IaaS and PaaS services.
3. Practical experience in deploying to Azure Web App Services and other container-based technologies (Container instances, AKS, Web App Services) is desirable
4. Good understanding of Azure networking, routing, and security concepts
5. Able to engage in architectural discussions and demonstrate Azure competency
6. Azure DevOps and pipelines experience would be beneficial
7. Comfortable deploying cloud infrastructure from code, templates or scripts
8. Must be comfortable taking part in discussions with internal stakeholders and external clients to discuss existing and/or new cloud projects
9. Python, .Net or Java programming language
10. Experience using Docker
